FAQ

Founding program frequently asked questions.

Answers for future members and yacht owners during the pre-launch pre-launch phase.

Is ShareMyYacht open for active bookings now?

This version positions the business in a pre-launch founding interest phase. People can learn about the model, join the list, and be contacted when the right yacht, owner, and member group fit is available.

What is a founding member?

A founding member prospect is someone who wants early information and priority consideration when ShareMyYacht forms a private yacht group in their preferred location and budget range. Joining the list is not a binding commitment.

Is ShareMyYacht a charter company?

ShareMyYacht is positioned as a premium yacht access and managed fleet platform. Final legal structure should be reviewed with maritime counsel, insurance providers, and local regulators before launch.

How many members would share one yacht?

The intended model is up to six approved members plus the owner per yacht. That small group is designed to create pride of use and better care than anonymous rental activity.

Do I need boating experience?

Members may need onboarding, rules review, boat-specific training, certification, and potentially captain support depending on yacht size, location, and program requirements.

Can owners still use their yacht?

Yes. Owners can block personal-use dates while making selected idle days available to qualified members once a yacht group is formed.

Can fleet income eliminate my yacht cost?

It may reduce or potentially eliminate net cost for some boats, but results depend on demand, location, yacht quality, pricing, insurance, availability, and actual utilization. No result is guaranteed.

How do I get started?

Use the founding member form if you want future yacht access, or the owner partner form if you own a yacht and want to explore whether your boat fits the program.
